We are happy to share the amazing news about the major milestone achieved by the African Union University - AUU International and the University of Management - TISBI through the opening of the AUUI-TISBI Distance Learning Center in Sierra Leone and launch of joint programs on November 29, 2025. TISBI-AUUI is accredited and Recognized by: The Ministry of Education and Science of Russia, The Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation and the Global Academy of Finance and Management - GAFM International Board of Certification Standards. AUUI-TISBI has an established partnership with the Tertiary Education Commission in Sierra Leone, the National Council for Technical, Vocational and Other Academic Awards (NCTVA) and other government agencies within Sierra Leone who are part of the Committee of AUU International. AUUI-TISBI also offer Academic Programmes in partnership with Daaru Salaam University, Hamar University, Global Humanistic University, Global Interfaith University and Rudolph Kwanue University. AUU International's Academic Courses as well as its Professional Courses are accredited by the Global Academy of Finance and Management (GAFM) Board of Standards. The new AUU International-TISBI learning center strengthens the strategic cooperation of AUUI, TISBI and its Network of Accredited Partner Universities and opens access to educational programs of various levels: from micro-diplomas to masters and PhD programmes.
The AUU International, Mayo College and TISBI shareholders cover cooperation with more than 300 African colleges and is supported by a signed memorandum with the African Union University - AUU International, which expands the possibilities of regional interaction. Particular attention is paid to the development of inclusive education - the creation of conditions for the training of students with disabilities. AUUI Partner Universities also plan to launch new programs and further expand the international partnership.
The opening of the AUU International-TISBI Distance Learning Centre was a significant step in strengthening global cooperation and increasing educational opportunities for Sierra Leonean students. Joint TISBI and AUU International, launched in 2026, will provide flexible learning trajectories, support for regional educational infrastructure and the development of the international academic space.

• TISBI (University of Management) is a non-governmental university with state accreditation, established in 1992 by Professor Nella Pruss, Honored Worker of the Higher School of the Russian Federation, to train qualified specialists capable of developing Tatarstan business. AUUI-TISBI Partnership
• This Letter confirms a strategic partnership between AUUI and TISBI, aimed at delivering a cohesive suite of joint programs and leveraging shared resources, faculty expertise, and online platforms to broaden access and ensure academic quality and recognition.
• The collaboration encompasses governance mechanisms, quality assurance, credit transfer, articulation agreements, and joint academic and research activities consistent with the highest international standards.
Joint Programs: From Micro Degrees to Doctorate
• The joint programs will span the continuum from Micro Degrees through Diploma, Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctorate levels https://eng.tisbi.ru/education.
• Programs will be designed to ensure alignment of curricula, learning outcomes, assessment strategies, and accreditation standards across both institutions.
• Credit transfer, recognition of prior learning where applicable, and pathways between programs will be established to maximize student mobility and successful outcomes.
TISBI-AUUI Joint Learning Centre and Online Platforms
• To deliver these Programs, the TISBI-AUUI Joint Learning Centre will be established as the primary hub for on-campus and blended delivery, along with robust online platforms to facilitate remote and asynchronous learning.
• The joint online platforms will provide:
o Learning management systems for course delivery, assessment, and student support.
o Access to digital libraries, research resources, and collaboration tools.
o Support services for students and faculty, including tutoring, academic advising, and technical assistance.
5. Governance, Quality Assurance, and Compliance
• The participating institutions will establish governance arrangements, including joint committees, to oversee program development, quality assurance, data reporting, and compliance with applicable national standards and protocols.
• Both parties agree to adhere to national regulatory requirements (NCTVE, TEC, and the Ministry) and to maintain transparent reporting on enrollment, outcomes, and accreditation milestones.
